I read that page and i was very slightly confused. So I got out my trusty Dungeon Comapanion to see what it had to say
Things to remember: -Thekal comes with two Zealots, a healer type thing (Lor'Khan), and a rogue type thing (Zath) -All must be killed within 7 seconds of ach other or they will rezz with full health and mana -Lor'Khan must be kept away from the others to prevent heals, and continually interrupted when casting of course -Any melee dps should come from behind (aside from tank assigned) the trolls
Two Options: 1) Assign a warrior to each of the three and spread out, one to the north, one to the south, and leave the third at the spawn point. target one troll at a time and dps them down,in turn, to about 5-9% then divide the raid into three and collectively kill them fast so they will die at the same time. ((No Execute until it is time to kill them)) 2) Assign a warrior to each. Gather them together and do single targeted dps until target is at 20% then switch and do the same, until all are at 20% (remember to interrupt heals). Then AoE them so theydie around the same time. Get a couple rogues and/or hunters to make sure health drops together, if one hasmore than the other have them attack until its health matches the others.
My point of view is that each of these has its down points, although the AoE approach has more margin for error.I think combining the two would be best. But i could be wrong. -Assign tanks and seperate and single target dps down to the 20ish% then collect them and AOE till dead, with rogues and hunters keeping health lvl, and warrior/rogue keep assigned to Lor' Khan not really attaking but just interrupting.
-Specific abilties: Zath has: Kick, Gouge, Sweepng strikes, and sinister strike. 2 tanks are needed for zath, so that once one of them i gouged the other can quickly pick up aggro with a taunt. also other than the curently aggro-holding tank- all other emlee should be kept behind so not caught in sweeping strikes. Lor'Kahn has: Dispel Magic, Greater Heal, Lightning Shield, and Disarm. Greater Heal=bad, so interrupt consistantly, kick, shield bash whatever, just dont le it happen. Also disarm means ocassionally it might be harderfor Lor's tank to keep aggro so the OT shoudl be rdy to pick up if she happens to loose intrest in the tank. Thekal has: (human) Bloodrage, Mortal cleave, and Silence (tiger) Speed slash, force punch, and charge. At low health he enrages and dmg output goes up to crazy lvls, when he transforms pull him nto the hallway before his podium and have the MT with his back to the wall. the rest of the rid shoudl be on the other wall. two tanks are necessary bc of the force punch knockback and his insanely high dmg output. if he breaks aggro, like any good little dungeon boss-he will go for the casters, priests shoudl shield whoever he goes after and tanks get hisattention ASAP, his dmg equals one hit death for many a squishie. Tigres will spawn just like with the other aspects. kill them just lke with the other spawns, rogue/hunter single taget dps shoudl be enought to take care of them. Then all you do is KILL HIM and get me my fist weapon!!!! =P

In phase one you DPS them down in the order of Zath, Thekal and then Lor'Khan - as she's the only one who can heal herself (and the others - which is one of the reasons why you split them up anyway). You can let Lor'Khan heal herself while DPSing the other two down - leaving her till last means you get the rogue(s) kicking away at her as she gets DPSed down (besides the shield bash & pally stun).
I think I've been saying Zath, LK, then Thekal when in raid - just ignore me if I say that again...
