So Kura got me thinking, how the hell do we pass out tier 4 tokens to all the people in our guild who are all no doubt salivating at the idea of sporting shiny epics(myself included) without pissing off anyone.
Well at first I thought class priority might be a good idea, aka tanks and healers being first, dps coming second.
Now i'm sure alot of mages, rogues, hunters, dps warrs, oomkins, etc etc would have a problem with that, so its probably not gonna work for us.
Thus I think having a system that is related to our previous 'ranking' system used for zg/aq which was based around attendence and consistency would work well.
Now as with the previous system their would be acceptions to people who were planning to attend a raid but due to one reason or another were not able to attend, provided they informed officers of this prior to the raid beggining they would still retain whatever status they had achieved.
Basically meaning people would be allocated the ranks used on our previous raids, cant remember what they were called myself but there were 3 category's I believe. Those who attended regularly, those who didn't and pugs.
Now only 3 classes compete for each token.
A simple idea for handing out the tokens could simply be to have each person in the instance at the time who can use the token to simply roll off. Say a Helm of the Fallen Defender token dropped and Kura, Me, Am and Floq were in the raid. All 4 of us would roll off since we each require the same token.
Now to make it fair, each person is only allowed 1 token per run.
Now say another defender token dropped, maybe the gloves and say Floq won the first he would be required to pass on this second one while Am, me and Kura roll off.
So on and so forth.
The exceptionto this obviosuly being, if another token drops and your the only person who can use and needs the token then you may take that one as well.
EDIT: Applies when we are doing Gruul's Lair and possibly Mag's Lair along side Kara:
Now lastly say in 1 raid you had aquired 2 or more tokens, by default. In the following week if you were once again competing against others for a token you would be encouraged to pass so that they may get 1 token as aposed to you getting a 3rd or 4th while others go without.
This would be so we dont have some people getting all geared up and others not. It pays to be nice and allow others to get their set piece armor as well. That way the guild as a whole will gradually become better geared progressively together.
And although no one would admit it i'm sure some people would grow quite annoyed with others if they got a full set of tier 4 while they were still waiting to get even 1 piece due to another persons greediness. I've seen that kind of thing make some people leave guilds and even be the cause of guild disbanding so it would probably be best to avoid it outright.
Classes that share tokens:
Fallen Defender tokens:
Druids, Priests, Warriors
Fallen Hero tokens:
Hunter, Mage, Warlock
Fallen Champion tokens:
Paladin, Rogue, Shaman
Gloves/Helm tokens come from Karazhan, the bosses that drop them being The Curator(gloves) and Prince Malchezaar(helms).
The shoulders and pants tokens come from Gruul's Lair.
High King Maulgar dropping the shoulders and Gruul dropping the pants.
The chest tokens come from Magtheridon.
BIG SIGNIFICANT THING!!!!:
If our tanks are dying too fast or our healers are running out of mana to fast or our dps isn't dps-ing enough lol then that week or possibly 2 weeks would be temporaily prioritised token wise for that class type so that a certain boss encounter may be overcome. Its all about progression, when we've reached an agreement that we're definately lacking in a certain area it would only make sense to priortise class gear-ups.
