Hey guys.
Danovan, Beautiqea and I had another meeting. OH NOES!!
But seriously, we decided to change up the rules again. Most of you will be totally uneffected. So don't stress.
We have worked out a new loot function that reflects veterancy. What is the definition of veterancy you ask? GOOOOOOOOOD QUESTION!!!
The three of us are sick of people showing up when they feel like it. They will be gone for weeks then come once again, when they return they are at no disadvantage against a dedicated member of the group. It sucks for the people who put in all kinds of time for the group.
So...we are setting up a function for veterancy. Its not harsh at all, but it is fair (at least I think so)
There is still no penalty for missing one raid. Life happens. Kids get sick, power goes out, computers break down. It happens.
Under the new system, you are allowed 2 whole weeks of un-announced absence from the raid. After that you are moved down to the second tier of loot distribution. Still got a reasonable shot at loot. New members who have applied are in this section as well. You gain or re-gain your veteran status after two weeks of showing up. Its that simple.
After 4 weeks you are moved down to the third tier of loot distribution, Inactives and pickups. An inactive needs to start showing up to move up to non-veteran status. Moving up only takes 1 week. All you need to show is that you are serious about returning.
After 6 weeks your wish list and application are deleted. We make the assumption that if we haven't heard from you in this long your not coming back. If you want to come back you get treated like a pick up till you put an application in and re-create your wish list.
You may have also noticed that I said "un-announced" what ever do I mean by this? another GOOOOOOOOOD QUESTION!!
Like I said, life happens. Its something you cant control. Say you have a vacation planed with your family that will last two weeks. Or your house burned down and its gonna take a while to get back on your feet. We understand completely. All you need to do is let us know whats up. We make a note and presto....None of the "demotion" stuff applies to you. Real life is more important in our book, and always will be.
This is being done to encourage attendance. We are so close to our first attempts at Hakkar it isn't funny anymore. The only thing we are missing is more regular members. We also want to reward the most dedicated among us.
There are also some other changes being made. The new spreadsheet system has been factored in. Again nothing major.
One rule was totally eliminated due to us never using that system. I promise you wont even notice its gone.
Another rule was tweaked to clear up some of the language. I removed the first person speech and replaced it with third person.
