RoA Kin, I truly must apologize for rolling on the Tier 4 Helm of the Fallen Defender last evening (11/12) on Prince. I felt horrible all night, and for 2 very good reasons. The first one is that I've never really been one to give a shit about loot, it's not why I play, and it made me look like I didn't care about rules just so I can have a "shiny". Very upsetting if you can understand. The second reason is that I really don't understand the rule once I thought about it for 2 seconds. According to last night, you're prevented from rolling on the head from Prince if you havn't recieved the gloves yet. Why? Why are we preventing someone from rolling on an item that they've earned (obviously, since you're at the boss of Karazhan)? I understand that even though this is a free roll environment, we do want to keep the really important items within RoA (such as T4 tokens, enchants, etc), but how're you going to really tell someone they can't roll on the shiny? I really felt bad for Heph, since he (To my knowledge) has neither his head or gloves and could have rolled on it, but didn't. I feel a bit like a selfish, inconsiderate shitwad I dunno, maybe I'm naive to the whole concept of loot distribution, but maybe my ignorance deserves the rule being looked at for sanity check. I dunno. Again guys/gals, I'm really sorry *gnomecry* ~Gunimer RoA Chocolate connoisseur

Dont feel bad Guni. It did hurt a little that i could not roll on it, but I understand the logic behind it. Some sets are better w/ at least 2 peices of the same set. So it is better to have one person better geared with sasme tier4, that way next run they will be more efficient. If two people need the helm and one person already has the gloves and the other gets the helm then both have tier 4 but are lacking the benifits of two peices, so both are still average.. Besides I was filling in for Hart. And i'll be running much more so I'll get it eventually. ; ;D....so have some chocolate and gratz on the helm.

Like I said man, Its cool.
The reason for it is just to make sure we got people with set bonuses when possible.
Where it came from? Probably a holdover from when I was in Terra Nova and class leaders decided how to handle Tier 2 stuff. The priest Tier 2 set bonuses were fairly pimp, so they wanted to make sure that they could get it on at least a few priests with said set bonuses.
So You got pants when you got a helm, you got bracers when you had a helm and pants.
It always made sense to me to do it that way. It was agreed on after the first prince kill. But I still wont say no to taking another look at the rule. One benefit would be simplified looting, and avoiding situations like this.
Thanks for being constructive about this though. And once again, no worries man.
